About

At Strawberry Leopard our mission is

To create inclusive environments that go beyond accessibility – places where everyone is supported, valued and able to thrive. We follow a regenerative 3P ecosystem that balances the needs of people, place and planet:

People, we design with equity, wellbeing and belonging in mind – building environments informed by physical, physiologocal and psychological needs.

Place, we shape purposeful spaces that foster presence, purpose and unlock new possibilities for connection and growth.

Planet, we commit to regenerative design solutions that protect resources, preserve balance and provision for generations to come.

In our hands now lies not only our own future but that of all other living creatures with whom we share the earth.

Strawberry Leopard Limited is a social enterprise, also understood as a ‘profit for purpose’. Whilst we get paid for our consultancy services and don’t take donations (we are not a charity), a portion of the profits is channelled towards our mission. We strive to act in the best interest of individuals and communities by reinvesting in the community to create accessible and inclusive experiences and environments for all.

As an independent consultancy with access to other passionate living experience collaborators and organisations, our services are tailored to meet the needs best. We all believe design has the power to shape how people feel, connect and belong.

We only know a tiny proportion about the complexity of the natural world. Wherever you look, there are still things we don’t know about and don’t understand. There are always new things to find out if you go looking for them.

Gillian Burgis-Smith

A journey marked with purpose and principle, living experience, and compassion has made me want to push boundaries and challenge designing for the ‘average’. To acknowledge and embrace individuality and diversity, considering inclusion, accessibility and belonging, creating spaces where everyone can thrive.

My favourite quote from Sir David Attenborough that captures what drives me now is as follows:

No one will protect what they don’t care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced.
